Questions

For all questions, please reach out to Anna Garber Hammond (ag556@cornell.edu).

Meeting Details:

The 2024 ILCI Project meeting is restricted to invited guests only. Participants should plan to arrive at Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) in San José, Costa Rica, on Sunday, February 25 and depart on Saturday, March 2. If you choose to arrive earlier or leave later, you will need to make your own arrangements for any extra hotel days; consult with Anna prior to finalizing travel plans.

Workshops:

The final two days of the meeting will consist of workshops centered on technical training, dissemination, and collaboration. Details on specific workshops are available here, and workshops timing is available in the meeting agenda as well. Participants should sign up for workshops in advance, using this form, and we encourage all participants to reach out to specific workshop hosts in advance if they have any questions.

Visa Information:

Many travelers do not require a visa for Costa Rica. If you are traveling from Africa or Latin America you may be required to provide proof of valid yellow fever vaccination upon arrival. Please refer to the official website of the Embassy of Costa Rica for guidance on visas and entry requirements, and reach out to Anna if you have questions.

Fly America Act:

All flights need to comply with the Fly America Act (FAA). If your flights do not comply, ILCI will not be able to reimburse you, and you will be personally liable for the expense. Please review FAA provisions for allowable waivers or exceptions, and ask Anna if you have any questions.
