About the Fellow

Oluwatomi is an emerging leader in the field of data analytics and technological agriculture who is focused on mining scientific data from BioGenome. Having exquisite experience collaborating with industrial leaders in the US, Sub-Saharan Africa, and North America, she pursues innovative enthusiasm in food security through information technology, developing statistical methods for breeding and Artificial Intelligence.

She is currently a Masters Student of Plant Genetics at Delaware State University where she works on Mining Drought responsive transcription factor genes from Sugar Maples. She actively works with the United States Department of Agriculture plant samples and projects in the areas of gene mining, bioinformatics, and quantitative genomics. She is an effective innovator, public speaker, and inclusion advocate with a vision to harness technology in improving sustainable agriculture.

Oluwatomi considers herself a prolific writer. Outside the scientific world, she writes aesthetic poetry, loves to travel, and into nature photography.
