Online courses
Breeding Informatics & Genomics
Introduction to JupyterHub
This course introduces beginners to the use of a cloud-based interactive coding and documentation environment for data analysis projects. Designed by ILCI’s Breeding Informatics and Genomics teams, the sessions provide researchers in plant breeding disciplines with the skills necessary to operate R within JupyterHub.
Three sessions (25-50 minutes each)
Breeding Informatics & Genomics
Software Interoperability on the ILCI JupyterHub
The workshop builds upon skills learned in the first JupyterHub training and aims to introduce users to the available software programs and how big data can be directly accessed for computation without the need to download and upload these large files.
2 sessions (approx. 1.5 hour each)
Genomics
Quantitative Genetics
Our Quick Win partners at NARO-Uganda and Michigan State University created a course on quantitative genetics concepts and basic statistical methods for genetic data analysis with a focus on genomic selection.
Nine lectures (20- 30 minutes each)

Resilience in Agriculture
Our online training module on resilience aims to provide an overview of the concept and application of resilience in agriculture for crop improvement. It also looks at resilience in relation to other cross-cutting themes, of gender equality, nutrition security, and youth engagement. This training covers four overall learning objectives to enable the learner to understand basic concepts, definitions, application, and measurement of resilience in agriculture for crop improvement.
